The largest winter touring festival in the country, We Love Sounds returns to Sydney on its regular perch, the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend, Saturday 6 June 2009.

Every year the festival has grown and this year continues the trend, with We Love Sounds now encompassing Moore Park (Centennial Parklands), directly across the road from the Hordern Pavilion. We Love Sounds will be erecting arena size big top circus tents in the grass space, to cater for the sheer magnitude of the artist bill, which includes the world's number one DJ, Armin Van Buuren, alongside the likes of USA's Armand Van Helden, as well as James Zabiela (voted people's choice, international DJ - 3D World) and Holland's Laidback Luke.

As in previous years, the festival will continue to utilize the Hordern Pavilion, Royal Hall Of Industries, The Forum and surrounding venues, boasting a combination of indoor arenas and the great outdoors, firmly securing We Love Sounds as a truly unique festival experience.

The second round artist announcements (a third announcement will be made in
the coming weeks) embraces We Love's tradition for tapping into cutting edge
electronic music, while keeping a firm foothold with festival favourites.

This year's linuep includes the international cream of the crop. House music's shining global star Chris Lake (collaborator with Deadmau5 and remixer of Kylie, Robbie Williams, Lily Allen) joins the ranks, as well as electro sensation Kissy Sell Out, returning to Australia for his second tour, this time premiering his full live show. Also in the electro world, We Love Sounds features Headman, Bobmo from Institubes, LA's Guns N' Bombs of Kitsune Records, Passions, and Danger from France.

Representing the techno massive, for the first time in Australia, is Cocoon Record's and Guy Gerber, performing live. Guy will perform alongside Berlin's Anja Schneider, owner of Mobilee Records and one of the top female DJs on the planet. Add Popof, Sascha Funke (B Pitch Control) and Justin Martin of Dirty Bird fame, with more to be announced shortly.

The We Love Sounds 09 line-up also includes Holland's 16 Bit Lolitas, progressive star Matthew DeKay, nu disco stalwarts In Flagranti, USA jackin' house rising star Hijack, Australia's international exports Dirty South and Pivot (live) (signed to Warp Records) as well as home-grown Grafton Primary (live).

The event will feature arenas hosted by the world's best party brands including Renaissance and Armada, alongside Sydney's own clubbing institutions, Lost Baggage, Bang Gang, Pulse Radio, Trashbags and more.
